This is a coloured lithograph print entitled 'The Cottesmore Prize Heifer' and showing a shorthorn heifer facing right against a landscape background, with a smocked figure and dog in the middle distance. It was painted by H. Strafford in 1837, lithographed on stone by J. W. Giles, and published in 1837 by S. W. Fores. The cow won numerous prizes at at the Smithfield Club Cattle Show and the Oakham Show in 1837.

Winner of the first premium of 15 sovereigns in Class 6 and silver medal to the breeder, also the gold medal as the best beast exhibited at the Smithfield Club Cattle Show, Decr. 1837.
