الوصف
This is a small triangular banner, on a wooden pole, used by the Ancient Order of Foresters. It is brown with red edges, and shows a scrolled leaf, branch and fruit pattern which encloses a crown emblem. The pattern is green and red, and the horn and arrows are gold. The pole is red and the ball and acorn emblem at the top are gold. It dates from the early 1870s-1880s.

MERL 'Handwritten accession' form (Institute of Agricultural History) – 'BANNER // Description // Ancient Order of Foresters Banner // Smaller triangular banner on a wooden pole which has a ball topped with an acorn at the end. The banner is brown with red edges. It has a scrolled leaf, branch and fruit pattern which encloses a crown with a [?] inside it. The pattern is green and red, the crown and [?] are gold. The pattern is the same on both sides of the banner. The pole is red and the emblem at the top is gold. // Dimensions // Length of pole: 196.0cm // Length of banner: 183.0cm // Width of banner at wide end: 60.0cm // Associated information // This is one of a pair of banners sent to the museum by Mr. Teulon Porter. They are assumed to be connected with the large banners 61/225/1+2 and would probably have been carried while parading. // Date: Early 1870s-1880s.'
