This wagon, called a 'barge wagon' was used at Home Farm, Wheatley, Oxfordshire, by various members of the donor's family and by other farm workers and visitors, during the period 1900 to 1959. It was used with either one or two horses, and was used particularly during the hay harvest and also for general farm work. The donor thought it was probably made by Cullum Ltd., Wheatley, Oxfordshire. It was in use for the hay harvest when a couple spent their honeymoon at Shotover Estate during the 1930s.

These photographs date to mid-July 1934 and portray the involvement of his mother and father - Wilfred Thomas Bryant and Alice Margaret Bryant - as well as other unidentified helpers working during the hay harvest. The photographs can be dated accurately as they were taken during the couple's honeymoon. Wilfred and Alice were married in Croydon on 7 July 1934 and travelled from there to stay with Wilfred's sister, Eva Prickett (née Bryant), who lived at The Grove on the Shotover Estate, where she worked., Photographic prints – 4 copy prints, as scanned by Michael Bryant in 2019, from a series of small original prints in the possession of his family. The photographs show scenes from hay harvest on Shotover Estate in mid-July 1934, during the honeymoon of his parents, Wilfred Thomas Bryant and Alice Margaret Bryant. The 4 images show: (A) Michael's father, Wilfred Thomas Bryant, in front of a wagon, holding a pitchfork, and standing alongside a horse; (B) Michael's mother, Alice Margaret Bryant, holding a rake and standing alongside a wagon and horse, and two unidentified men, one on the wagon and one beside Alice, both of whom are wearing hats; (C) a wagon being loaded with hay by an unidentified man standing on top, beside a farm elevator, whilst another unidentified man holds the horse reins and stands alongside the horses; (D) two unidentified boys beside a loaded wagon and horse. It is believed that these photographs show wagon 61/202 in use.
