RISIS- Reading Integrated Student Information System

RISIS stands for Reading Integrated Student Information System.

The Student Information Systems Team (RISIS office) makes use of a database called SITS, which holds student personal and academic information. SITS is supplied and supported by Tribal Group who also supply the SITS database to over 60% of the Higher Education Institutions in the UK.

Data extracted from SITS is passed at regular intervals to the various databases used by the Finance Office, the Library, IT Services User Registration, the Accommodation Office, Blackboard and the Room Booking and Timetabling Office.

The Student Information Systems Team (RISIS Office) is responsible for providing support for staff and student users and also for developing the system in response to the changing needs of the University.
